When will my payout reach my bank account?
How long an online payment usually takes to reach your bank account, what can make it slower, and where to see the status of each payout on the Payouts page.
Last updated
Online payments are paid out to your verified bank account usually 2–3 business days after payment, subject to holidays, payment provider and your bank. It is a typical time, not a promise, and it can be longer or shorter for the reasons below.
What can change the timing#
- Holidays and weekends. Only business days count.
- The payment provider. Their checks and schedule apply to every payout.
- Your bank. Banks can take their own time to show a credit.
- Your account status. Payouts go to your verified bank account only. If verification is not finished, see Connect your bank account to get paid online.
Steps to check a payout#
- Open Payouts in the left menu (or under More on a phone).
- Find the payment in the list. Each row shows the amount you will receive after the platform fee.
- Open Details on the row. It shows whether the payout has been deposited and, once it has, the date and time.
- If it says Not yet deposited, the payout is still within the usual time. See above.
Good to know#
- The amount that reaches your bank is the payment minus the platform fee and the GST on that fee. See What is the platform fee and how is GST added?.
- A payment that shows as pending has not been paid yet, which is different from a payout that has not arrived. See Why does a payment show as pending?.
If something goes wrong#
If your payout is well past the usual time, check that your bank details are correct and verified, then contact support with the order ID and the date of the payment.
Frequently asked questions
Why has my payout not arrived yet?
Payouts are usually 2–3 business days after payment, subject to holidays, payment provider and your bank. Weekends and bank holidays do not count as business days, and your bank can take its own time to show the credit.
Does this apply to cash on delivery?
No. Cash on delivery is collected by you directly, so there is no payout to wait for.
Can the timing change?
Yes. It can change with the payment provider, your bank, holidays or other circumstances, so treat it as a guide, not a promise.
